The device provides power and keeps the magnet/magnets active, which in turn hold the fire door open when there is no danger of fire spreading. When such a hazard is detected, the automatics interrupt the magnet supply and the door closes due to the closing force. There are several reasons why automation can initiate door closure: the operation of a smoke detector, a signal from the fire alarm panel, the activation of a button in the immediate vicinity of a fire door, the activation of the RESET button on the device itself, a malfunction or interference that prevents the automatic operation of the automatic operation.
The device has built-in light and sound signaling of the condition in which it is located:
Normal operation: The green indicator light next to "READY" lights up, there is no audible signal
Malfunction: yellow amber light next to "ERROR", short beep every 4 seconds
Alarm: The red signal light next to "ALARM" lights up, a short beep sounds every second
Once the cause of the Fault / Alarm or Alarm condition has been eliminated, the unit can be restored to normal operation by pressing the RESET button on the unit itself.
